Warsaw has a good public transportation network. Trams, buses and metro (underground) are reliable and allow easy access to points all around the city.

It’s quickest to travel by two metro lines. They run from 5 a.m. to 0.10 a.m. (Mon.-Thu. and Sun.) and from 5 a.m. to 3 a.m. (Fri.-Sat.). M1 metro line has 21 stations and M2 metro line has 10 stations (scheme here).

Trams run from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., with numbers from 1 to 79.

Regular bus services are numbered from 100 to 399 and express bus services are numbered from 400 to 599. Night-time bus services are designated with the letter N and digits, for example N11.

Fast Urban Rail (Szybka Kolej Miejska – SKM) trains have the letter S and a digit, for example S2 which runs to and from the airport.

Incoming students at Medical University Humanum (AMH) with valid Student ID Cards are entitled to a 50% discount on tickets.

• three months student ticket – 140 PLN (33 EUR)
• single 20-minutes student ticket – 1,70 PLN (0.4 EUR)
• single 75-minutes student ticket – 2,20 PLN (0.5 EUR)

Travel in Poland by train:

Incoming students under 26 with valid Student ID Cards or ISIC cards are entitled to 51% discount on all PKP Intercity tickets.
